DXC

Creating a one-stop-shop for employee device management

About the client

With more than 130,000 employees worldwide, DXC has a lot of computers to manage. They needed an online system for employees to request and manage their devices, software, and permissions. We were tasked with creating a vision for this product.

My Role

I joined this project halfway through, after a most of the research and early design was complete. That meant I got to focus on my favorite part: The visual design. While a lot of it was already in place, I worked across the system to create components, bring consistency to colors and typography, organize styles, and polish off the high-fidelity designs.

How would AI write this case study…

Ted Lasso, an optimistic and charismatic coach, sits in a conference room with REBECCA, the CEO of DXC, and the team of employees working on the employee device management project. The atmosphere is lively and enthusiastic.

(leaning forward)
Alright, folks, let’s talk about our one-stop-shop for employee device management! Now, I’ve learned a thing or two about managing a team, and it all comes down to collaboration and trust. So, who wants to kick things off?

The team members exchange glances, hesitant to speak up.

TED

(smirking)
Alright then, I’ll take the lead. You know, creating a vision for this product is like building a championship team. We’ve got 130,000 employees worldwide, and they all rely on us to make their lives easier. It’s a big responsibility, but one we’re more than capable of handling.

REBECCA

(nods)
That’s right, Ted. We’ve brought in the best in the business to help us with this project, and I have complete faith in each and every one of you. We needed an online system that allows our employees to request and manage their devices, software, and permissions seamlessly.

TED

(chuckles)
You see, folks, it’s not just about the technical aspects. It’s about understanding the needs and frustrations of our employees. We want to create a user-friendly experience that feels like a breeze, like a breath of fresh air. That’s where our visual design guru comes in.

The team turns their attention to the Sara, who is responsible for visual design.

(smiling)
Thanks, Ted. I joined the project halfway through, but I gotta say, it’s been a blast. I’ve been working across the system, creating components, bringing consistency to colors and typography, organizing styles. It’s all about making it visually appealing and user-friendly.

TED

(nods)
Exactly! We want this to be a one-stop-shop that employees can navigate with ease. It’s like a playbook, where every play is perfectly choreographed. And I know you all have the talent and passion to make it happen.

The team members exchange motivated glances, their energy rising.

REBECCA

(raising her cup)
Here’s to the visionaries, the collaborators, and the champions in this room. Together, we will create something remarkable that empowers our employees and sets us apart.

TED

(raising his cup as well)
Cheers to that! Now, let’s get to work, team. Remember, it’s not just about the devices; it’s about the people behind them. Let’s make their lives better, one click at a time!

The team raises their cups, filled with enthusiasm, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

FADE OUT.
